The fact that Chris was not a professional player, but a normal person whose hobby was poker and who moreover had won a sit in the biggest poker competition through an online poker satellite tournament, made people realize that they could be the next ones!

But Chris victory not only influenced the number of participation in the WSOP, but also the number of poker books and articles published, the poker media coverage and above all the number of players at online poker rooms.
